Congratulations to Victor Vasquez!

After a sweet final match with Tori Bishop and Victor Vasquez, the votes came in, were counted, then were counted again and again but no matter how many times they were counted the public had decided. It was a TIE. The secret judges panel went into intense deliberation. After a long while they emerged from the proverbial chamber with our new Season 2 champ!

We are proud to announce, Victor Vasquez, the winner of PHX LAYERS Season Two. Congrats!

That’s all folks! The second season is a wrap. Thank you to all who played and to those who watched along. We will be back next year with Season 3!

After 4 months of brutal, ego crushing battles…We’ve reached the final match.

Tori Bishop and Victor Vasquez return from a nice vacation and are ready to rumble.

As we near the end of Season Two a feeling of calmness falls upon the players and crowd. Of course, we here at the PHX Layers headquarters know that this is the the quiet before the storm. The storm that will rip off roofs, crack tree trunks, teleport young girls to weird dimensions with little people, and naturally make at least 4 people pee themselves.

THIS IS THE FINALS!

Tori Bishop, a second season veteran, has brought her collage style to new levels. Her unique character references and eye for artifacts has delivered her all the way to this last battle. Will it be enough?

Victor Vasquez, also a veteran, came out of the gates last year with a quirky illustrative style that got him into the tournament. In the second season we see him return stronger than ever. After chopping through 4 rounds will his sharpened skills slice through?

We’ve reached an impasse. Only one of these designer can be crowned the Season 2 champion. Let the games begin!

In the last round of the Semi-Finals, we have Stephen Olmstead versus Victor Vasquez.

While Victor sits and thinks with a drink about how he’s gonna win, Stephen frets not as he gets loose off of orange juice. Now that we’ve got our hip-hop quotables out of the way, it time to let these two designers rip each others pixels apart.

They’ve fought through 3 other designers to get to this point. And there is two battles left to go…for one of these guys. Who will reign supreme over nearly everybody?

Let’s do this!

Last week ended the Quarter Finals, with a close match between Niki Voyatzis and Victor Vasquez. The votes came in, were tallied, and it looks like Victor fixied away with the win.

Now we begin the Semi-Finals with, what will be a brutal match between Tori Bishop and Jason Geiger. These two have been enemies for at least 5 minutes and bloodshed is sure to follow. Either that or someone will get pixel-slapped. Turn on, tune in, and vote out the winner!

We love the smell of layers in the morning.

It is the Semi-Finals.

Tori Bishop and Jason Geiger have fought through hordes of designers to make it this far and have the battle scars to prove it. As they enter this semi-final battle, thoughts of victory sweep the mind. The glory of bringing home the trophy is more pertinent than ever. They’re finally close enough to the end to smell the spoils of war. Once friends, they now exchange looks of pure aggression.

This is it folks. One of these warriors is going home. Who’s it gonna be?

Last weekend Scott Seligman and Stephen Olmstead had a heart to heart which left Scott in heartbreak.

This weekend marks the 4th and last Quarter Finals match! Victor Vasquez faces Evniki Voyatzis in what is surely to be one hell of a match (read:zombies).

You thought the Vuvuzula was gone? HA! It’s come back from the dead and already brain-ate a few layers participates!

We’ve got VuVuVictor Vazquez vs Evniki VuVuVoyatzis! They’re hungry, nommin’ on minds while they shop together something you’re all sure to dig. (get it…dig. zombie graves. sigh.)

Watch your back while you watch this match! We can’t guarantee they won’t spread a deathly design plague through the screen.

Sure to be a state wide stunner, this shop showdown between Scott and Steven is certainly stormy.

Scott Seligman, formally known as “Silly Selig! Station Seven’s Sunny Meteorologist”, was a world renowned weather prediction expert. That was, before Doppler came around and ruined his credibility. Now, “Stormy Selig! Scottsdale Surplus Sack Salesman” sells potato sacks out of the back of his truck near the freeway.

Steven olmStead, owner of Scurvy Solutions, has seen rough times as of late. Using his “Special Scurvy Salt n Sweat Station”, he was able to cure pirates of their sea-disease with a mixture of salty salmon shirts that induced sweat. Now, since scurvy has been cured by showering, Steven needs a Solution for himself.

So, sirs, shall we Shop?
